Service Shut Down

It is with very great regret that we have to announce that the Real-Time WeatherWatch services are being shut down. We can no longer support the cost of the operation and maintenance of the system ourselves and increasing the service charges to a level where the system pays for itself would not be an acceptable option for users.

Users will be able to access the Cape Agulhas, Kenilworth and Struis Bay sites via the web site until the end of August 2006. From September 2006, only the Kenilworth site will remain active. The SMS and MMS services for all sites have already been terminated.

We would like to thank all of you who have provided us with feedback and encouragement over the past few years.

Stations

Real-Time WeatherWatch currently has weather stations at Cape Agulhas, Kenilworth, and Struis Bay, with Kenilworth being the system development station.  

Tide Tables

Tide Tables for the years 2004, 2005 and 2006 for Hermanus, Knysna, Langebaan, Struis Bay and Table Bay are provided with indication of mean tide displacements. We now also provide moon phases and sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset times.
